Skitty is home!
May. 27th, 2004 05:31 pmI suppose the subject says it all... I'm glad Pat reminded me of hiding places. I *knew* that I should check for hiding places, but I thought I'd checked all the possible ones. This time I checked a couple *IM*possible ones... I should have guessed that a cat might find a way into an impossible situation. There she was, in the enclosure that surrounds the utility meters, on a bar about an inch wide, trying to stay dry. I'm glad it wasn't raining harder today; if the lower part of the enclosure had flooded, the least that would have happened is a cold, wet kitty, and I'm going to ignore the worst case scenario.
Thank you to everyone who responded; I might respond to each of you, but *damn* I'm emotionally drained right now.

Date: 2004-05-30 05:39 am (UTC)So, there are now some Animal Farm-like sheep who are continuously chanting "Vertical lock good, horizontal lock bad". (I hope that it is obvious that the latch to the lock is vertical when the lock is engaged, and horizontal when it's not. I might be crazy enough to have chanting sheep to remind me, but I'm not crazy enough to have them chanting senseless things. Then again, maybe it is crazier if I think that sheep can be sensible. ) I don't think that the door has been left unlocked for more than five minutes, total, more than it has had to be unlocked to let me in, or out, for the past several days.
I'm glad that both of our cat mis-adventures ended similarly well. Now, if Skitty would only remember how badly things go when she checks out the 'room' that her people never let her go into....
