I suppose the subject says it all... I'm glad Pat reminded me of hiding places. I *knew* that I should check for hiding places, but I thought I'd checked all the possible ones. This time I checked a couple *IM*possible ones... I should have guessed that a cat might find a way into an impossible situation. There she was, in the enclosure that surrounds the utility meters, on a bar about an inch wide, trying to stay dry. I'm glad it wasn't raining harder today; if the lower part of the enclosure had flooded, the least that would have happened is a cold, wet kitty, and I'm going to ignore the worst case scenario.

Thank you to everyone who responded; I might respond to each of you, but *damn* I'm emotionally drained right now.

Fair enough, but I'm not worried now :-). I'm taking a break from cleaning house, and the task is starting to remind me of a joke I heard about "cleaning the Aegean stables with a whisk broom" (I *do* hope I'm remembering the right stables...). Thank you.

Picky, picky

It's Augean (http://www.pantheon.org/articles/a/augean_stables.html), but I think we get the point. (-;

Persevere, my dear!
