Congratulations; you found the one night this entire year that my door was unlocked. I was out working really late, and when I came home, my habits were thrown off, so I didn't lock the door the instant I got in.

Don't ever get caught.

You can have the monitor. $500? I can deal. I'm pissed off, but I can deal.

You let my cat out, motherfucker. The scared cat who we only found through blind chance last time.

You better just hope there's no balancing force in this universe. Or, if there is, you'd better pray that it's less vengeful than I'd be, if I ever find you.

For once, I'm hoping that the universe is as callous to you, as you are to others, and that you have just a brief moment of realizing *why*.

I hope you are lucky enough to find her again. I know she must be scared silly. Super good thoughts on the way at warp speed.

John, before I responded, I sat here for a few minutes, and tried to think of what it would feel like to come home and find one of my precious cats gone. And I know that even what I imagine can't be as sad and angry as what it really feels like.

I hope that you find your cat. I imagine that it's just frightened and hiding somewhere nearby. That's what I'm hoping for you.

Take care, I'll be thinking of you, and you cat.

Oh dear. Prayers for the cat and for you. I've been through this and I know that it's hard and infuriating. Many prayers.

I hope you've already heard, but Skitty was found later that afternoon, in an "impossible" hiding place near the front door that I hadn't thought to check earlier. I'm glad I know where that is, and I hope she's wise enough to run straight there if she gets caught out again. (Not that I plan to give her *any* chance to get out again, ever!)

I'm hoping the cat will be found quickly. The loss of the monitor is infuriating as well but - as you note - you can deal. Pure blind bad luck - let's hope the universe will do justice.

Thank you, and, as I hope you've already seen/heard, Skitty *is* back safely.

Oh, geeze.

Okay, first, if I read you correctly, you were *home* when the burglary took place? Yikes! I'm glad you're safe.

Second in time, but equally important, I am sending Good Cat-Finding Thoughts northwestward at high speed and intensity, along with Good Cat-Welfare Thoughts.

Thank you; and yes, I was home, and asleep, which really annoys me, on a bunch of different levels. And, as you may have already seen, Skitty is home safely, now.

I hadn't seen the update, because I had no 'Net access over the weekend. I'm so very glad Skitty is home and safe and forgiving you. :-)

Oh hon, I'm sorry.

Sending you lots of good thoughts and vibes. I hope the cat comes back. Or, if she can't find her way, that she finds a good safe place. But mostly that she comes back.

***HUG***

Love you.

Well, as you may have already seen, she did find a safe place to hide, and thankfully, one that I decided to check. She's back, safe and sound, and thank you for the good thoughts and hugs.

John,

I am glad to read (upstream) that you found Skitty. That poor cat hanging out in a most uncomfotable situation must have been fear laden for a shy feline.

As for the burglery, there seems to be a little crime spreee going on in this area. In the town home complex in Kirkland, where Selene and I live, we've had a home break-in and a car break-in in the last two weeks.

Big hugs,
Rene

Well, what gets me about this is, like I said, the door being unlocked is a rare occurrance, because someone walked in on us and stole some things last year. It's really bothersome that someone happened to check *our* door on a day it was unlocked... how often are people checking doors like that? Is it a daily occurrance? And no one has noticed this? It's freaky.

But... well, I miss my lovely 17" flat-screen, but I do have my kitty home, walking on me and kneading my stomach right before I got to sleep, so I'll call it a good (enough) ending.

I'd guess daily, every door in the entire complex. And no, it is rare that anyone notices such things. Web cam time.
