May. 24th, 2005 02:55 pmFirst, thanks to everyone who responded to my last entry,
gh4acws,
wolfette,
griffen,
iamjw,
kightp,
blackthornglade... I appreciate it.
Apologies to everyone for the minor bit of drama/whininess (and yes, you can all say that it's okay to be dramatic/whiny once in a while, but let's not fib to spare my feelings, it was both dramatic and whiny). I realized it is possible to get drunk on emotions.
(And, as I was finishing up, I was about halfway through a pint of beer with a bit of whiskey mixed in, so I wasn't wholly sober, and I was sleep deprived to boot.)
I'm feeling better today, remembering that my book has two parts, and while the second part can't crush the opposition, it's not supposed to. It's supposed to nudge The Tower (tarot reference) just a bit. The first part is supposed to get me into position so that the nudge actually accomplishes something.
And it'll work, or it won't. If it works, it works; if it doesn't, I try something else.
I think that's called "living".
