First, thanks to everyone who responded to my last entry,
[livejournal.com profile] gh4acws,[livejournal.com profile] wolfette,[livejournal.com profile] griffen,[livejournal.com profile] iamjw,[livejournal.com profile] kightp,[livejournal.com profile] blackthornglade... I appreciate it.

Apologies to everyone for the minor bit of drama/whininess (and yes, you can all say that it's okay to be dramatic/whiny once in a while, but let's not fib to spare my feelings, it was both dramatic and whiny). I realized it is possible to get drunk on emotions.

(And, as I was finishing up, I was about halfway through a pint of beer with a bit of whiskey mixed in, so I wasn't wholly sober, and I was sleep deprived to boot.)

I'm feeling better today, remembering that my book has two parts, and while the second part can't crush the opposition, it's not supposed to. It's supposed to nudge The Tower (tarot reference) just a bit. The first part is supposed to get me into position so that the nudge actually accomplishes something.

And it'll work, or it won't. If it works, it works; if it doesn't, I try something else.

I think that's called "living".

You cannot carry the weight of the whole world alone.

Alone, a person is as a twig. Could be a strong twig. Could be an unbreakable twig. But, a twig cannot carry a heavy burden on its own. Not even an unbreakable twig can do that.
Thing is, there's lots of people, all of us twigs. Many twigs together make a very strong bundle o wood, for carrying anyways. Find kindred people.
Of course, I daresay you;ve already found quite a number :-)

Heh. As a First Degree Drama Queen (OK, I try to keep it on the stage, but still ...) far be it from me to suggest that you don't get your turn, darlin'. And yep, that's part of the "living" thing, too.

But I'm glad the rebound came quickly. You know, you're a whole helluva lot more resilient than you used to be.

And, at least you're trying *something*. I admire you for that.
