Let me tell you the story of a great warrior.
(Cut for length)

He came into his own when the hot blood of youth had passed him, perhaps because he knew that wisdom was greater than strength in the battle against evil. His first mission was to rally his troops and tell them of hope, and have them thinking that victory could, indeed, be their own. His followers started to believe in him, for his message resonaed deep within their hearts. As the time for the battle came close, he came to the field covered in glory, disdaining a large parade for a simple beast of burden, but nevertheless, the people gave him welcome.

As the time of battle arrived, he rejected weapons, though he had some available, and chided his followers for seeking to kill in his name. He walked into the midst of his enemies, armed with nothing, and carrying naught but the feel of betrayal's kiss, and they set upon him.

He was beaten, and mocked, but stood unbroken, until they were sure they had defeated him completely, and perhaps they had, for the stories recorded a cry of despair as he died.

His followers mourned over his broken body, certain that they were utterly lost. Until the day came when he returned to them, showing that love was even mightier than death itself.

The prophecies predicted an end to war. Perhaps this was because, with a deep and abiding love in their hearts, and no fear of death, nor desire to make war, this warrior's followers were to spread his message until it kindled the flame of love in all human hearts. Perhaps not.

Nevertheless, the story of this warrior lives on, as do his lessons, for those who will listen with their hearts.
