"The Passion of the Christ"
Aug. 25th, 2004 01:14 pmI've finally figured out what I want to say about the movie.
He taught people how to live for three *YEARS*.
He died for three *DAYS*.
Which do YOU think is more important?
(Mode = "Forrest Gump") "And that's all I have to say about that."(/mode)

Date: 2004-08-26 05:59 pm (UTC)Granted, it's possible that without the sacrifice, Jesus would just be another whacked out new-age (new age for his time, at least) weirdo with some pretty words to say. But without the message, the death is just another brutal death.
Mind, never having seen the movie, I can't say for sure that it ignores the message completely... but based upon reviews, I think that it does.
And, of course, I'm not saying that the movie is a *bad* thing... I'm just mentioning that there's a big hole in it.
