I got my back lawn mowed and watered, *and* got my car washed, as I tried to prove to myself that I have the energy to do some basic chores like anyone else. And I did it! I did it!

Just in time for thundershowers.



(Hm? Oh, cutting the lawn before thundershowers is actually a really good thing. A *very* good thing. But if I hadn't also *watered* the lawn, I'm sure that the thundershowers would have miraculously cleared up. Washing the car just cinched the deal.)

eleri, sorry about that - I might be responsible for blocking the meteors.

(Then again, if the meteors were headed to earth, to sow seeds of evil to conquer all of mankind, but the extra atmospheric density of passing through the clouds turns them into spirits of goodness and light that fart rainbows, I ... guess that would be about normal for my life. And I'll probably end up taking a rainbow full in the face, never knowing if it was a good or horrible thing.)

Sorry we didn't get to see the Perseids this year, but a) I've seen them other years (once from the top of the *old* Blewett Pass highway, with the only light pollution being from Wenatchee or somewhere near that, and not much of it), and b) I was so exhausted and fibroflaring from the heat that I don't think I'd have made it out to the apartment parking lot.

(I don't think the Perseids are heading *to* earth, just sort of passing by. *grin*)
