The good news is, I can't figure out anything else to do on the server until tomorrow. That means I get to sleep.

The bad news is that I'm afraid that I'm passing up a chance to get some more work done on the durn thing.

For now, however, it's time to sleep.

Do you not get to come to Philly this weekend if the server installation balks?

Well, if everything goes to hell, I won't be able to come down; I'm our only SQL database guru, by attrition, and if I can't fix it, no one can. This is scarier than it sounds....

However, this is one of those things where, if something goes wrong, it's like having a car break down completely, after giving no signs of warning. Yes, it can happen, several ways, but it doesn't tend to happen too frequently.

I expect to be down there, and I hope to be able to hook up with people, if time permits, god willing and the creek don't rise, and all that. If you can e-mail me any good times to visit (or meet, or whatever), at j, then palmer, then the number 1, then ix.netcom, and .com, I'm hoping I'll be able to find some free time down there.
