Major freaked-out-ness

So... I've vanished for a day or so, and I might be gone for a day or so longer.

Some information came to my attention that, for all that it's not horribly bad, has shaken me up *really* badly.

I'm checking on the information now, and hope to have *all* of the information relatively soon, but in the meantime, it's hard to express what this feels like... or just how bad it's been feeling.

To quote (or more likely paraphrase) what Barbara said to me last week:

Breathe.

Take one step at a time. Don't look back, don't look down, and for ghods' sake don't look forward and try to calculate how many more steps it'll be.
