So, I'd been thinking about this for a while, and I'd done a bit of research, and I'd kinda known what I wanted, and I was going to, soon. Really. Real Soon Now.

But today was a holiday and I figured I could go out, and I did, and...

Well.

I kinda accidentally bought a refrigerator.

And, on the one hand, yay, good for me, I made a decent decision at a reasonable time to do so. I spent just about the amount of money I knew I would. I helped out a small business, rather than a Big Box.

On the other, since all of my other major appliances are working well, I think I'm going to wait until I have cash in hand before "accidentally" buying anything else.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that does this sort of thing! Congratulations - it's a refrigerator!

and I'm sitting here, next to a new[ish] sofa that the wife kinda accidentally bought, wondering where I'm gonna put it...

Ok, the old one was falling apart, literally, but still, I had 24 hours warning before delivery, and she didn't measure it so I'm playing furniture tetris today.

Congrats, at least a fridge is easier to fit in.

I suppose that would depend if the A/C dies on the hottest day of the year or not... [what, don't tell me you haven't at least thought of it!]

Reminds me....some years ago, about the time my son was 11 or 12, during an extremely hot summer, we went out to the outbuilding which housed our really old, really big chest freezer (hey, free was a really good price! and it worked just fine).

We opened the freezer lid and saw....footprints.

In the freezer.

On the packages of food.

Some people don't just THINK of it, you see.
