johnpalmerI haven't even really tried to keep up here for the past little bit, and I've mostly (not entirely) abandoned newsgroups. Why?
My attempt to pass the Routing 640-503 exam, which is the first of the four tests needed in the CCNP program.
Except 640-503 was replaced by 640-603. No problem...
Except... 640-603 was retired in September; now it's the "Building Scalable Cisco Internetworks".
Aaaargh.
Two things come to mind... one is the scene from Rocky, where, IIRC, Apollo Creed is asked if there'll be a rematch (and note that the judges are still scoring the fight, so he doesn't know if he won or lost), and he says something to the effect of "hell no!". That was a REALLY tough test, and not fun at all to take.
The other is "what do you call the person at the bottom of the medical school graduating class?" "Doctor."
I passed, with some margin for error... nothing to be exceptionally proud of, but passing is passing, and that's more than enough for now.
