At last word, she's throwing him out.
And for the first time, I heard her daughter talking to her about him, and what he did.
I'm going to keep hoping it all works out well, because a lot of things can go wrong, but tonight, I opened a bottle of Asti Spumante, and toasted to new hopes.
(And I can't help but feel a little bit proud that she wants to know "What did John *say* to him?")
