Fitness: I'm 80 for 80 on the year - I've worked out at a reasonable level every single day. I'm torn - this weekend, I'm visiting, and I could either deliberately break my streak (to avoid "I know it's a compound fracture of the femur, but I'm 173 for 173, and I just need 25 minutes of aerobic exercise..."), or consciously keep it low-key (*just one* workout per day, no more, and just 25-35 minutes, no 2-hour videos while walking on a treadmill!).

I'm in a weird headspace. On the one hand, exercise is becoming a bit obsessive. On the other, things are happening (3 minute intervals at 5.8mph, 25 minutes at 5.3 - the 25 minutes was with a 1.5 minute break to check my heart rate, but my heart rate was in the low 140s - I could probably have done without the break.)

I'm tired a lot, but I can recognize it as overtraining. I'm being very careful about twinges and aches, and icing them immediately after exercise. I've had quite a few blisters (one advantage - blood sugar testing guarantees I always have a spare lancet if I need to drain a blister).

(Side note: My rule of thumb is, if a blister is *going* to break, drain it, otherwise, leave it be. So, I'm ignoring the one under callus on my heel (except maybe covering it), but the one on my small toe got drained (and then covered with a dressing). Anyone know better?)

Heh. I'm also using whey protein drinks as a supplement. It's easier than meat. I never thought I'd do that.

Other than that, there's work, and... and there's not enough else. I need to change things, relatively soon, because this is definitely not a healthy state for me. Hopefully, I'll be going off the 2-11 shift soon.
