Probable pop-culture fail...
Mar. 29th, 2010 03:14 pmOn a lark - yes, I do spend a fair amount of my time on small songbirds, sometimes - I thought about looking up that TV series I'd heard a lot about - about that newspaper (or the overall news business) somewhere back east. Maryland, maybe?
The show was, I thought, "The Wire". Which isn't about the news business at all.
Can someone help me determine if this is, in fact, the show that I'd heard about? I'm guessing it probably was, unless there was another series with highly devoted followers that's recently ended, and was about the news business.
(Don't ask me *why* I thought "news" - maybe it was just the title. "The wire", coupled with a large, diverse background does tend to make one think news business. "This just came in over the wire! Send someone to investigate!")
