And I hate coming in to work two hours early, only to discover that the meeting was never agreed to.

And I hate being unable to leave early because my boss wants to avoid cutting into my time on the phone queue.

And did I mention I'm sick, which makes me tired, which makes me depressed, which makes this a bad day for my mid-year review?

And did I mention that my new coffee roaster was supposed to be delivered today which I couldn't get because I couldn't leave early, despite coming in two hours early because my boss wanted my mid-year review to occur after my queue time?

I'm at that scary stage of a sinus infection, where it feels like, if I sleep wrong, the infection will migrate down my throat or into my lungs. (I have no idea if this actually happens, but it sure as hell seems to have happened in the past.)

To look on the bright side of things, "fresh roasted" coffee needs to sit for a while, between 4 and 24 hours, to reach peak flavor. (To continue to be in a pissy mood, please note that the number of hours between 6pm and time for morning coffee is somewhere between 4 and 24 hours, too.)

Sigh. I think it's time for bed. Good night, all.

OK, this is gross, so feel free to screen:

I have had a small amount of success re snot migration (which makes me anxious because once I get bronchitis I can be down for many weeks) by sleeping on my front, as head-down as I can tolerate, towel under my face to drool on (cos who sleeps with their mouth closed when they have a sinus infection?). Also, as much guaifenesin as I can remember to take, and drinking lots, et blah blah blah. Of course, you didn't ask and may have your own preferred doctorisms.

Much sympathy.

Nod. I hadn't thought of the head-down, but that makes sense; I think the one time I remember having a full from-sinus-to-lungs migration was when I tilted the head of my bed higher. I think it did help my sinuses drain, but where else did they have to drain *to*?

Thankfully, I've tended to sleep with pillows under my neck, so my head tilts down a bit naturally. I think that helped me this time.

And now, I have *got* to talk to my doctor about "when is a patient being good and wise by saying 'infection; gimme antibiotics'?" Because, *damn*.

I mean, if I want to spend two full days getting hot and sweaty in bed, occasionally thrashing about due to extreme hypersensitivity, and being utterly exhausted whenever I leave, I want it to be for an entirely different reason.

Jeez, no wonder you sounded so tired last night. )-:

Hoping you can soon wake up and smell the coffee, literally.
