Heh. How about this one? I'm teaching a class in Dreamweaver this past week and have set up an account for a student on the company server so she can get the hang of moving files by ftp and viewing her sites on a live server.

Trouble is...damn pages won't show up. I struggle. I check permissions. I recreate her account. Nothing worked.

Lsst night she came back for another round of class and before she arrived David showed up to pick up the car keys. While he was here I explained what I was struggling with and he started laughing. "Eh?" I asked. His response, "Do you have the execute bit flipped on the directory?"

sigh. I've been bitten by this more than once. When will I learn?

We've started using a posting heading (from one of Unixronin's postings) around our house now when things like this happen. "Teh Stupid...it Burns!"
