I just finished the first draft of the book, except for the final part, a wrap-up chapter of sorts.

The working title is "For The Dream", because that's what I'm fighting for.

And, wow, there's not much else to say.

*applause*

Bravo, love. I'm looking forward to fascinating bedtime reading while I'm in Baltimore. And damn, I wish you could be there with me.

Hurrah! and Well Done! I would like to read it, too. Do you have a publisher?

Thanks! I have my editor ([livejournal.com profile] kightp) working on it now, and we'll see what happens. :-)

No, definitely nowhere near that level yet. I'm going to be marketing it after Pat's done giving it a read through and helping me knock the worst of the rough edges off of it.

I hope to find a publisher who's itching for some ingenious political essays from the liberal point of view. Maybe I can fool that publisher into taking my essays instead :-).

It is indeed... but today, I'm doing that "Wow... I guess I ought to start looking for work, hadn't I?" I spent from Friday until evenining Wednesday living the book while writing the last few chapters.

Thanks! (I actually almost used you as an example, but then cut the section where I did... "A good friend of mine" who believes that even jury duty violates the notion that the government serves us, and we are not the property of the government, to be used as they see fit.)

Thank you! I'm ready to start marketing, but I've decided I'm awfully glad that I have to take a few days off from thinking about it. I worked on it continuously from Friday through Wednesday, and *wow*, that was tiring.

You're welcome! I'm honored to be called a good friend, and sorry I had to be cut. However, perhaps there are limits to how radical you want to be (or how radical a friend you'd want to acknowledge) in the first edition. :-)
