If you can arrange your life so that you don't have to worry about whether to believe your brother that an ER visit doens't invalidate hospice care, you should probably do so.

Taking him to The Dead concert in Camden was the right thing to do; it worked out the way it should have, and just before the concert let out, I was able to dash to the car and get it back to the entrance before the crowds came. (Literally dashing, here... I didn't strain my heart too much, and my knee only aches a little, and I probably got the car back a good five minutes before people started leaving en masse.) But he's not been feeling well, and he's swelling up with retained fluid, and hell... it could be incipient renal failure, which could be the beginning of the end, much faster than expected.

My family... well, they're having a really hard time. But I think they're approaching acceptance.

Me, I'm tired... really tired. But then, it's time for bed, isn't it?
