"Open lanes all the time", it says, and then continues with something close to "Come in to bowl and write a haiku."
If it's just an advertising ploy, it's a damn good one... I can't help but notice the sign each time I pass it (even though my ADHD makes me less likely to actually memorize the wording). But still, I wonder...
(Not enough to go in and ask what the heck is up with the sign... I might, if I had the money and inclination to bowl, however.)
