My new doctor doesn't agree with my guesses re: causes for my problems, but recognizes the need for me to make a change, so we're trying a new med that may help.

I'm glad we're doing this, but I'm also nervous. If this doesn't work, we're looking at something really weird, and possibly neurological, and the neuro causes of stuff like this tend to have treatments that say "try to keep the patient comfortable via treatment of symptoms".

I'm sorry I haven't been more responsive to comments - I'm in training, and this has been stressing me recently. I hope to get better in each of these ways, soon.

No matter how intelligent you are, no matter how much research you've done, you're still not a doctor; and doctors do have access to information that you don't. I think this new doc will find something that neither you nor the other doctors have thought of. I'm not a doctor either, but my gut feeling is that it isn't purely neurological - I think it's an esoteric chemical imbalance, and you're going to have to eat an artichoke every day, or stop using personal cleansing products that contain polyquaterniums, or drink mineral water instead of regular tap water, or something weird like that.

Herm. Unfortunately, no, he figures we just need to fix my T-levels. And he's not entirely wrong, it's just, I have another issue too - I think I'm proving that now.

Thank you! It's wonderful to feel there's some forward motion, even if it's not as positive as I'd hoped.

And it's entirely possible that once he's fixed your T levels, he'll be able to diagnose and correct other things. (Endocrinology isn't always an exact science - no branch of medicine is, really; there's always a fair bit of "poke and hope" going on.)
