It can't be a mere chance coincidence...

...that the week I started with swing shift has been the week when I've had the most BS-work to do. (I'm now doing actual database *administration* - which means there's a lot of BS work to do. But there's been more than the usual.)

Ah well. I've been busy, both at home and at work, and dealing with the change in shift fairly well, and fairly happy. But, I'll warn the universe that this "fairly happy" depends on a slower work day tomorrow. (Here's hoping the universe is in a good mood, and doesn't want to upset me just for the heck of it.)
