Ah, the joys of homebuying.

So. I got some information from my buyer's agent that included some information that bothered me, and made it seem that the deal might not go through. It threw me into a bit of a tailspin for a while.

But then, it firmed up my resolve. I made some decisions about what I wanted and needed and what my absolute limits were. So, overall, it was a positive thing. Sure, there are ways that this could end up Just Not Working. But I now know exactly what the possibilities are.

I've sent instructions to my agent about how our response is going to look. We need a quote on some work to be done; once that's in place, we'll make the response.

This house is over one hundred years old, so there are a lot of minor issues, but nothing that you wouldn't expect from knowing its age, and the inspection revealed all the major issues, and we'll either be able to make it work, or we won't.
