For Obama fans who can deal with rap.

Hat tip to Mahablog

(Oh: and for those who love a good zinger, but can't listen to the whole thing: just go to 1:20 and listen for ten seconds :-) .)

So, does anyone on my friends list want an EEE 4G Surf with a battery that is sadly too wimpy for my use?

I won't be offended if anyone offers to buy it for a price higher than the shipping/drop off cost, but I've come to the realization that I have no legitimate use for it, so I'm kind of in the mood to get rid of it. It comes with 2 gigs of memory (instead of the standard 512meg), and an 8 gig SD card, in addition to the 4gig solid state drive.

Be warned: the keyboard is small for people with large (or even average) sized hands.

Wow... it's been a surprisingly busy day. It started off with a realization that, yes, I gained a free hour of sleep. Then I called Pat, hoping to provide a bright, happy start to her day (and I think I succeeded :-) ), and decided to try to go swimming.

I did manage to pull myself to the gym and get in 25 minutes of swimming. The pool wasn't overfull, though I had to share a lane for a bit. Not a big deal, in the end.

(Exercise report: right now, 25 minutes of swimming a crawl stroke is enough to leave me feeling tired and it feels like a pretty serious chore. Also, on the ellipticals, I can do 5 1-minute intervals at 160-180rpm at level 13 - leaving me at the not-quite-kill-me-now state, with another 15-20 minutes of resting intervals at level 9. This will leave me risking getting tired during the day. I'm hoping in 2-3 weeks, 25 minutes of swimming will be a mildly serious chore, and I'll be able to do just as much interval training without feeling like sleeping afterwards.)

Then I did some more cleaning of both the kitchen and the living room. It might not look it, but I got a lot done.

Then I managed to finish off my trio of Halloween movies - The Fly, Van Helsing, and Wolf. All very good movies.

A neat mixture of work and play today, all in all.
