Happy cat news...
Aug. 21st, 2008 11:02 amSkitty isn't hiding under the bed all day any more.
Now, the downside of that is, good lord, I'm glad I got her in to the vet (okay, not as glad about the vet bill, which was, well, "substantial"), because I'd guessed right, her hiding was probably because she was in pain from the tooth problem. (The vet called it a "cervical neck lesion" - but it was a tooth-related issue, at least.) I wish I'd gone earlier, to get her better that much sooner, but there wasn't much opportunity, with life intervening in various and sundry ways.
She still hides wherever she can when it's medicine time, of course. (She's so pitifully adorable when I need to give her medicine - curled up in a little ball, hiding her mouth from me.) But she's become a lot more social now that the tooth was extracted. Given how she's skittish in the best of circumstances, that she's become "a lot more social" now shows just why I was worried about her.
