Friday, I had my tech screening with Microsoft. I didn't do badly, but I didn't dazzle them, either.
The weekend was spent with
kightp and would have been wonderful and relaxing but I got a terrible headache sometime while we were watching Hellboy II (the Saturday 11:35am showing), and it didn't go away until sometime after I went to sleep Saturday night. But it was relaxing, and I got to see the end of Babylon 5, and we even got to decide whether or not Ben Affleck was, in fact, the bomb in Phantoms....
But now, I'm finding that I have another interview to set up, I have more studying to do, and work is incredibly busy because we're down one guy (which leaves us with... uh, me for the dba/sysadmin stuff, and one other guy for customer support stuff... guess which task occupies 90% of our time.) But on the plus side, it was cool and a bit rainy today, so I could go swimming.
(If it was hot and dry, the pool would be packed with kids, you see.)
I was running into one problem with swimming. I want to swim hard enough to work my muscles, but I still don't really have breathing down to the point that it's natural for me. So, I finally decided to cheat, and I bought a snorkel. Now, I don't have any problem with getting winded enough that I can't keep swimming, because I have a constant flow of air. It's been so successful that I've had to remind myself to stop from time to time and swim normally, to practice breathing properly.
Ah, well... time for some studying, and then for bed.
