This is a decision born of corporate greed and megalomania. It is the ultimate example of corporate inhumanity. It shows us that, if we don't take a stand, here and now, it could happen to you, to me, to any of us.

It is time, brothers and sisters, it is time. It is time to make a difference in the world. It is time to say that we will not put up with this poor treatment any longer. It is time to seize the power that is our birthright, and demand fair treatment.

Because some decisions, once made, have such devastating repercussions that they must not be allowed to continue.

Oh, I hear you now: "but corporations have rights! They can make business decisions, and they must!" But I say this to you: some decisions are so overwhelmingly evil that, even if technically legal, they must be unmade.

Think of the children... think of the lonely, starving (but at this moment, cute, endearing, and not overwhelmingly guilt inducing) children! Think of their wailing if we do not take action! You don't hate children do you? (And you sure as hell don't want to listen to them wail, right?)

Further, think of the terrorists, waiting to sneak into our bedrooms late at night and perform unspeakable acts! We must take a stand, for justice, for freedom, and cute puppies and kittens and whatever else you find valuable.

Remember that this is our country, our world, and that when corporations choose to undertake actions that turn it into a place of misery, it affects us all... us, our children, and our children's children.

And then ask yourselves: what effect will this have on Social Security and Medicare and the ballooning federal debt? Can we afford to put this off? Can we say that someone else should solve this problem? Can we leave this problem for future generations, leaving them to ask why, why we were so short sighted, so unwilling to act?

No.

We must take action, and together, we can win.

(For those who missed the news, Sony discontinued the Playstation 3 versions that had backwards compatibility with the Playstation 2, and may not produce any models with backwards compatibility in the future. I did some shopping, but no one seems to have any of the last model left.)
