Tea discovery
Feb. 24th, 2007 01:22 pmSo... yesterday, I was making what sure to be my last honey-lemon tea of the day. In fact, I didn't have nearly enough lemon to do it right.
Are some of you extremely experienced tea drinkers starting to chuckle indulgently, realizing what this discovery was?
I usually add enough lemon so I can taste the lemon, you see... I mean, isn't that why you add it?
But just a tiny bit of lemon - not enough to taste it it as lemon - removed the bitter tannin taste of the tea, and made it quite enjoyable.
Still sick enough to need lots of this, but I'm not sure it's helping. I feel like I've got an infection *right above* my lungs, but I am coughing more, well, the term is "productively" now. That means I'm probably getting closer and closer to being shut of this thing, almost ten days after I started showing symptoms.
It's really annoying; I'm having a hard time sleeping, and I don't really want to leave the house because I keep having coughing fits that are close to uncontrollable, and make me dizzy.
Ah well. At least my head is clear, in both senses: my brain isn't fogged by sickness fatigue and my sinuses aren't feeling clogged up any longer.
