So... is there anyone out there who thinks I should LJ-cut my talking about fitness? I've joined a health club, and I've been exercising a lot, and if I ever decide "so what if no one could possibly be interested in this? I'll post it anyway!" I'd like to know if it should be cut-tagged.

In other "So what if no one could possibly be interested in this" news, I am putting together a fascinating experiment in bean soup, combining white beans, black beans, and pinto beans. Why? Because I didn't have enough white beans, and not very many black beans, so I threw in those two and added some pintos Because I'm an ingenious chef, with the ability to improvise fascinating recipes, based entirely upon my desires, and not the contents of my cupboards. I smoked some pork (rubbed in salt, garlic powder, and assorted ground peppercorns) on Sunday, so I had to cook the soup on Monday. Today I might pick up some additional veggies so it's not just bean, onion and pork (oh, and garlic... but not much garlic, given the amount of soup. Because I wanted a very subtle hint of garlic, not because most of the garlic bulb had gone soft. Because, you know, this is a testament to my cooking artistry, and not an attempt to clean out my cupboards). Depending on how thick it is, I might thicken it with some coarse ground whole grain cornmeal. There's a bit of a trick to adding the cornmeal so it doesn't lump, but you know, if it does, you have a small lump of corn in with the beans and pork and veggies... what's the big deal?

My only question for now is whether or not I'll actually be able to eat any tonight, or whether I'll have to put it in the refrigerator right before I go to bed.
