Okay, not an entirely good night from my perspective. I kept myself happily amused tonight, and managed to eat nothing more than a bag of microwave popcorn for food (Okay, I did have a 24 oz coffee, and a quasi-danish with me, but that was "emergency breakfast", not "work food".) Given that I couldn't bike to work today, that's good.

But, I was also supposed to get a lot of work done on a schedulling program. It's a really simple project, really; a timer on a form goes off once a minute, and checks a database for "pending alerts". If there are any with 'date' (which includes time of day) less than the current time, display them, and they can either be checked off as "already done" or "bug me later" (with options for how much later).

I want lots of options for repeats, and so forth... every n hours, every n days, every n weeks, every n months, with a maximum of up to a year in advance. I might add some other tricks. It seems like good idea to set up to remind myself of things I want to do (like "get some programming done", "get some exercise", etc..)

In fact, this is what is supposedly going to keep me from doing nothing more than keeping myself happily amused during a given night. Oh well.

I do have some of the basics scribbled down. That's *SOMETHING.
