More updates on LongHairedWeirdo.

I've been writing a lot; it's the only thing I can do to deal with how I'm feeling.

I've seen several people asking "why do these captives have rights?" and it's like, why don't they?

If Bush is so scared that his evidence against them won't hold up in front of a habeus corpus hearing, what right does he have to be holding them at all? And if he's not scared it won't hold up, good god, are you saying that an army of government lawyers can't file the right petitions to keep the guilty people held?

If he has cause, is he afraid of something else? What else could he be afraid of? Public complaints of mistreatment?

But he's treated them in accordane with the Geneva Conventions, subject to military *necessity*... hasn't he? So he can show the *necessity* of any harsh treatment, right?

Surely he wouldn't be lying about that.

But enough; I'm trying to keep the politics on my other blogs.

If I could ask President Bush one question, it'd be this:

"Sir, do you really want your political opponents to have these additional powers when the pendulum swings back and *they're* in office?"

I would be a little concerned that his reply would be something along the lines of "God said he will help me find a way to keep them out of office."
