Jan. 12th, 2006 05:47 pmThere've been recent updates at Long Haired Weirdo and For The Dream. The latter was written today, when a news article said that Colonel Pappas has been given immunity and ordered to testify at some courts martial.
I did the exercise bike yesterday, and got through the end of .Hack, Part II, and started in on Part III. I think I've decided that I don't want to do any more four part games. The worst part is, the game tracks how long your current character has been played. I know some of the time has been spent with the game paused (or with the characters left in a safe location) while I grab food, check e-mail, etc., but I know that a good 90% of it is time that I've actually played, and *ick*.
Tomorrow, I'll hear back about the results of one interview, and I have another scheduled for next week. We'll see what happens.

Date: 2006-01-13 11:09 am (UTC)I don't remember doing anything, you know, *special* re: that boss. However, I was level 53 or 54 (and sometimes just one or two levels makes a big difference), I think I hit both Kite and Blackrose with all three of the physical combat boosts (+attack, +defense, +accuracy), and I treated every injury as an emergency, because (is it named Magus?) Magus can do some 800+ hp in a single hit.
I can't remember if Magus had any tolerance, but the board tells you that if you cast a reduction spell on a tolerant critter, it removes the tolerance. e.g., Dek Vorv (reduces defense, I think) removes physical tolerance.
I might have been casting spells, as well. I do know I was carrying around scrolls for water and earth (because twin blades don't get any water or earth based skills on weapons), and I know that, if I ever couldn't hit him, I used a spell (rather than waste time running around to catch him). I can't even be sure I didn't cast a speed charm, just to reduce the "running to catch up" time.
But the biggest thing I remember was having lots of healing potions, and 15 recovery drinks, and using them every time they'd fit. (i.e., as soon as someone was down more than 300, I hit them with a healing potion. If they were down 600+, I used a recovery drink). And, of course, I kept plenty of Mage Souls and (whatever the next higher one is, for recovery of skill points.)
