Changing URL for LJ/DW? "Please do my homework for me"

Hey, folks. If I want to use LiveJournal or DreamWidth as a blogging engine, does anyone know if I can set it up so that people can browse my blog as LonghairedWeirdo.ShamanicWeirdness.com, say?

(Assuming I own the domain, which I do....)

I don't suppose it really matters, I'd need an LJ/DW account as a back-end. But I kinda like the idea of having "my" URL, even if it's just a cover for a backend account.

You could, possibly, set up a website with what we used to call in the olden days, an iframe and feed your LJ/dw through that... that might work.

http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_iframe.asp

It's usually used for videos but I'm not sure it wouldn't work. (enough negatives in that sentence, for you?)

Seems to work to me. -wyang

I used the following code (http://wdy.me/jpalmer.html). I tend to think you may be better off with the CNAME approach, but technically, it seems to work. -Bill

John Palmer's Livejournal page

work, but may not be ideal.

See http://wdy.me/jpalmer.html -- it works, but may be less optimal than using the CNAME method. I'll leave the link up for a week or so.
