The thing I go for if I'm congested is Chinese mustard. If there's barbecue pork on which to eat it, so much the better, but I've been known to just go for small bits on the spoon when desperate.

And blast you! Now I'm hungry for kung pao something-or-other from Simons, and it's not in the budget. :)
